Shou Sugi Ban Farmhouse Table
Here is our second farmhouse table that we've ever built. This custom table is made in Delaware from 120 year old pine felled in Georgetown and milled there (same pine as the other farmhouse table we were commissioned to build - see below). This is a very large table. It's 44 inches wide by eight feet long. This table we did a Shou Sugi Ban (basically we burned the top) technique on the top and custom in-house "hurricane" finish on the legs and skirting (Flag for a hurricane is black and red). Looking to sell this table so please feel to contact us if you have any questions.
This table would also make one hell of a desk or meeting room table. No doubt this will be a conversation piece to all who see it.
Custom Farmhouse Table
This table was a commissioned piece. We don’t normally do commissioned work but this was for a very dear friend of ours. We found some 120-year-old pine boards (11.5”x16’ @ 4/4) – a wood that we normally do not work with - how could we say no? SO – two negatives make one hell of a positive in this case. This timber was felled in Georgetown Delaware and milled there as well. Pine is not a wood that we like to use because it moves so much, but with this history it was an honor to work with it. After getting this table built we had a family member come and chalk paint the table to the clients liking. Christy came and take some gorgeous photos of this wonderful farmhouse table. Lastly, we had our dear friends at Noblewood Florals made us a wonderful center piece and did the staging for the photos. Please enjoy the photo slide show below and pay our friends a visit on their sites. This world is nothing without friends.
This is one of our mainstays. These cooler carts (#coolercarts) are made out of treated lumber. They fix a 54 quart Coleman Cooler but could be custom fit if we have the cooler onsite. These are a wonderful addition to the patio, deck or the dock. Four locking casters, ample storage for cases of your favorite beverage, and some other goods in the middle. Has a hook for a towel, bottle opener and magnetic bottle cap catch. Five feet across, 25 inches deep and about 34 inches tall. This one was painted up for a client that loves Dogfish Head beer. We do not paint them normally and cooler is sold separately. Local pick up only on this one. Contact us if you are interested. 2-3 week lead time - $275.
Custom wood turning is something else we do. This is a birthday mallet for a customer & friend who turned 81. I mean what else to you give a guy who has everything? The penny is in there for the date. We've done one for a wedding present as well. The card read, "First one to the mallet wins the argument." Contact us to discuss your idea.
Cedar "UPdown Planters"
Our "UPdown Planter" (#updownplanter) is one other mainstay here in the shop. These two are shown in cedar. Approx. four feet wide, 12 inches deep and 36 inches tall. Local pickup on these as well. Contact us if you are interested in these as cedar or pressure treated. Cedar is $150 each and Pressure Treated is $80 each.
